Background

Professional Experience

• Criminal Law: George appeared as Duty Counsel in all the Lower Mainland Provincial Courts - including Youth Court; and, on occasion as Ad-hoc Crown Counsel. He has also argued Criminal cases in the Superior Courts and the Courts of Appeal of this province;
• Wills and Estates: The preparation of wills and the probate of estates;
• Real Estate: Experience with both residential and commercial real estate transactions on behalf of vendors, purchasers, lessors, lessees and others;
• Business Law: George incorporated companies, handled the purchase and sale of small businesses; drafted and reviewed various types of contracts and advised clients in business problem avoidance;
• Civil Litigation: George appeared in the Provincial, Superior and Courts of Appeal and in Federal Court to handle anything from small claims contract disputes to major personal injury claims.

• Civil Litigation: major personal injury claims; major long term disability claims; major estate disputes and major contract disputes. His preferred method of trial is trial by jury and, as a result, George has extensive knowledge and experience in preparing cases for trial and negotiating fair out-of-court settlements for his clients. For multi-million dollar claims, George will assemble a team of lawyers to ensure that his clients will have the best opportunity to succeed.

• George is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia as well as the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia.
